QueryAxis (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using QueryAxis, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address via our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.
2b. Watchlist Data
When you add stocks to your Watchlist, we store: the stock symbol, the date you added it, and an optional snapshot of the stock's Intelligence Score at the time of addition. This data is associated with your account.
2c. Portfolio Data
When you add positions to your Portfolio, we store: the stock symbol, quantity, average cost, entry date, optional stop-loss and target prices, and optional notes. This data is associated with your account. We do not receive information about your brokerage account, actual trades, or bank details.
2d. Usage Data
We may collect basic usage data such as pages visited and features used to improve the product. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or share your usage data with advertisers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve QueryAxis — your watchlist and portfolio data powers the personalised Daily Briefing, Watchlist Intelligence, and Portfolio Intelligence features.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To communicate important service updates.
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data Storage and Security
Authentication (Clerk)
Account credentials and identity information are managed by Clerk, Inc. Clerk handles authentication in compliance with industry security standards. You can review Clerk's privacy policy at clerk.com/legal/privacy.
Watchlist & Portfolio Data (Supabase)
Your watchlist and portfolio data is stored in a database hosted by Supabase, Inc. Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. You can review Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
Market Data
Market data (stock prices, volume, technical indicators) is sourced from publicly available third-party providers and is not linked to your personal information.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
QueryAxis uses browser local storage to store your preferences and, for users who are not signed in, your watchlist and portfolio data locally on your device. Authentication sessions use secure cookies managed by Clerk.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your watchlist and portfolio data.

7. Data Retention
We retain your account and associated data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
8. Children's Privacy
QueryAxis is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of QueryAxis after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
